In the works of Matyas Misetics, the notion of light is of key importance, and in the case of the Untitled Lights series (2006), the iconology of it can go further than simply associating it with an indefinite spiritual transformation. Certain pieces of the series apply strong backlight which simultaneously highlights and hides the subjects of the pictures, in this way undoubtedly suggesting the concept of a presence, while also representing the notion of light as the medium between the subject and the viewer.
