The Utopia series was inspired by those peculiar, surreally altered sceneries and cityscapes that emerged through errors in the algorithms of the biggest online mapping system, as it constructed the open access three-dimensional world map from satellite images down to the level of buildings. The occasional malfunctioning of the self-executing system produced unique landscapes, architectural solutions, and road-systems. The visuality it created is not directly the product of human beings but raises questions about the human condition.
